For this project, SMITE wanted to emulate an animated look, fully painted backgrounds with pen/ink style figure work. I was able to work on the development sketches while splitting the final duties with Anna Christensen on the SMITE team.

As an Avatar fan, this was a dream come true, and I pushed as hard as I could deliver every option to our team. I needed to deliver the best reiteration of Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko's vision as possible. I needed to channel the absolute best of Joaquim Dos Santos as I could, fill it with easter eggs and attitude I possibly could.

Working with Anna was amazing, finding a way to sketch the Cabbage man himself was awesome, I had to share everything I could.

I hope Avatar fans love it. I hope SMITE fans love it and I'm tankful for everyone on the SMITE team that pushed this to be the best we could!
